Borobotics builds fleets of autonomous drilling robots to scale ground-source heat pumps. Their compact robots dramatically reduce cost, required space, and carbon emissions, compared to conventional drilling rigs. By making geothermal heat pumps feasible for more buildings, they accelerate the energy transition for cities.
Hephae
Hephae’s technology stack enables smart drilling in superhot geothermal environments. Hephae pushes the temperature and depth boundaries of smart drilling by designing measurement-while-drilling (MWD) tools that reliably operate at temperatures above 210 °C, with a roadmap toward 300 °C.
GA Drilling
GA Drilling pioneers deep, hard-rock drilling technologies to improve drilling performance and simplify complex well structures. Their NexTitan boosts performance of all current drilling technologies with dynamic sensing and control, and the NexTitan Pulse is a category-defining plasma drilling technology for reaching superhot temperatures.
Canopus
Canopus is building a new category of drilling technologies that increases the scalability of branched boreholes at every depth. Their “Directional Steel Shot Drilling” system enables steered drilling, branched boreholes, and increased energy output per well - for shallow heat exchangers to deep geothermal reservoirs.
TerraFerno
TerraFerno builds proprietary downhole completion tools for superhot temperatures that increase long-term well productivity. Their technology suite enables better flow distribution in high-temperature settings and more complex well designs. Their flagship Flow Control Devices (FCDs) ensure well longevity and higher energy output per borehole.
